Application to Become a Registered User


If you are currently involved in the defense of a capitally charged or convicted individual or you reasonably anticipate this will occur in the near future, you are invited to apply to become a Registered User of the site subject to your agreement to review and comply with the website Agreement on Terms of Use. The information and materials present on the website are licensed to individuals for use in the defense of capital cases only, and any other use or distribution is a violation of copyright laws, an attorney's and investigator’s ethical obligations, and strictly forbidden.

After your application is submitted, you will receive an email asking to confirm your email address. Then your application will be reviewed by an administrator at the Oregon Capital Resource Center. Upon approval, you will receive an email notification of your registration and can then access the private portions of the website.

[Although membership in the OCDLA Capital Defender group is not a prerequisite to obtain access to the Oregon Capital Resource Center capital defense website, all registrants are strongly encouraged to join the OCDLA Capital Defender group ($50 per year) (http://www.ocdla.org/capdef.html) to benefit from and contribute to the critical work the organization does for our capital defense community. Membership includes access to the Capital Defender list serve, which carries announcements about training, new cases relevant in capital ligation, availability of new pleadings and resources useful in capital litigation, and developments in the national and state capital defense community. Your membership also helps OCDLA support capital defense training seminars, efforts to promote and protect our interests at the legislature, and efforts to collaborate with the Resource Center on projects to help our defense community provide high quality legal representation to our clients.]
